Port Elizabeth has an action-packed weekend coming up with the XTERRA, Amazing Race and Redhouse 24 Hr challenge. If sports aren't for you, chill out to the sounds of Charné Hugo or try your luck at the Valentines' Pageant to be crowned Mr or Miss Valentine.

Here is our three-day guide to all that you can see, do, taste and explore:

Friday, 10 February

SEE: Charné Hugo will be performing at La Colline at 8PM singing songs old and new in both English and Afrikaans.

DO: The Fedhealth XTERRA will take place over the weekend starting with XTERRA Kids on the 10th, Full on the 11th and Lite on the 12th.

TASTE: Try out the menu at Le Med for a sample of the flavours and tastes of the countries around the Mediterranean.

EXPLORE: Join the Amazing Race in PE for a day of fun-filled energised activities starting and finishing at the Summerstrand Hotel.

Saturday, 11 February

SEE: The Horses for Causes Charity Race Day at Kenilworth Racecourse is in support of 14 charities. Have a good time and do some good too.

DO: Take part in the Valentines' Pageant for a chance to be crowned Mr. or Miss Valentine's and raise money for a good cause.

TASTE: The Burns Nicht Supper will celebrate Scotland’s Robert Burns with a three-course meal of traditional Scottish dishes and music at the PE St. Georges Club.

EXPLORE: The Redhouse 24 Hr  challenges all dinghy sailors and paddlers for a fun endurance team sailing event to be held over 24 hrs at the North End Lake.

Sunday, 12 February

SEE: Seaview Predator Park is a self-drive game park with a Big Cat Breeding Program and a Wildlife Sanctuary.

DO: The Boardwalk calls all Port Elizabeth kids to take part in the Design a Logo Competition before final entry date of 15 February.

TASTE: Experience Rhubarb and Lime Cafe for an upmarket retro-chic coffee shop vibe. The owner-head chef was trained at Warricks Chef School and achieved her practical in London, UK.
