Cape Town – Wandering the streets of some of your favourite SA cities, it is always a rather pleasant surprise when you bump into artworks happily hosted by street walls, buildings, even bus hideouts.

Street art has been questioned by some in terms of its intent, but as with the more rebellious graffiti, it aims to connect  its audience and increase their understanding on the chosen subject matter. Rather than an act of vandalism, many see this as a form of visual poetry engaging with the people of the city

In SA cities we are inspired and moved by the street art, as is the artist’s intention.  A visit to Woodstock will introduce you to subject matter and execution that is simply awe-inspiring. Onlookers think twice about social matters as the art speaks to them.

Keep on the lookout for works by Nard Star, Chris Auret and Faith47.
