Cape Town - If you thought the Brits or the Aussies were the heaviest drinkers on the globe, you thought wrong.
But don't worry, South Africans aren't either... Phew!

New health research put together by Vouchercloud reveals that Moldovans are in fact the biggest drinkers in the world if measured by booze consumption in every country.
A new interactive map which plots alcohol consumption worldwide placed the Eastern European country on the top of the list, with Belarus and Lithuania in close pursuit.
According to the map, Moldovans drink in excess of 17.4 litres of alcohol per person per year - the equivalent of 178 bottles of wine per person per year.
In comparison, South Africans consume 11.5 litres of alcohol per person per year, placing us in the 22nd spot on The World's Top Booziest Counties list.
The notorious Brits - with their reputation for boozing - place as the 17th booziest nation in the world, while the Australians are the 10th most excessive drinkers.
