Cape Town - South Africa is an incredible country. Whether we appreciate it or not, we live in a pretty free place... a place where we can speak openly about our thoughts and concerns and often, pitch our questions and problems directly to the people in power.
Since most of our Ministers and the country's President Jacob Zuma is pretty active on social media, it's no surprise that South Africans took to Twitter to forecast a few #SONAPredictions ahead of the official State of the Nation Address for 2017, taking place on Thursday, 9 February. The most predominant prediction seems to be that the unruly EFF will be thrown out of parly again, and that our dear President will be flippin' the bird to the entire nation with his famous move to re-position his reading glasses.
One thing is certain - even with the mocking about - it's clear that South Africans are involved and concerned about the well-being of our homeland, and that sparks will fly if our people in power don't live up to their promises this year.
