Cape Town - As South Africans are gearing up for a bumper festive season, various tourism stakeholders are stepping it up a notch in order to accommodate the high demand for travel over the holidays.
At all airports in SA, Airports Company South Africa (Acsa) has beefed up holiday operations to ensure a smooth transit experience for air travellers.
Acsa also highlighted a few safety tips for travellers to avoid pitfalls, scams and other bad travel experiences.

The Department of Home Affairs in South Africa is also doing their best to accommodate the massive influx of visitors into the country over the festive season. On Thursday, 8 December, the DHA announced plans to curb delays, streamline immigration at airports.

At select land-based ports of entry too, the DHA has extended operating hours to help ease congestion and ensure smooth immigration and emigration processes over the holidays.
